Work in Work Package 8 (WP8) so far has been documented in this deliverable D8.1, addressing readers being familiar with traditional network management and basiceconomics. The state-of-the-art on both areas, focusing mainly on the use case of networkservice provisioning, has been pin-pointed and due to the presentation of newly developed,integrated concepts as well as ideas the discussion of emerging, urgent, and requiredresearch questions, technology requirements, and future economic management schemeshas been included. Based on this set of basic models, a number of key mechanisms — in support of technical and economic dimensions — and, thus, in support of an overall economic management areanalyzed, defined, and discussed in a close level of detail.
